Our wonderful Young Single Adults

Dominik Lyzwinski is preparing to serve a mission. He is hoping to go right after the first of the year. He has such a wonderful quirky sense of humor and is willing to do whatever is needed. He is Ross's executive secretary in the Branch. I might also mention he is fluent in English due to some years living in England.

Elly Hoyland is from England. She served a mission in Poland a few years ago and is back teaching in the English school. She teaches Seminary, went to Africa this last summer on a conservation service, even had a lion inside their compound. She rides horses when shee finds the time.

Aleksandra Modzelewska has been a member of the Church for about a year and has a powerful testimony. She teaches the Gospel Essentials class. She also is preparing for a mission after the first of the year. She will be a grreat missionary, she can talk to anyone. She is fluent in English and works for Speak-Up which is a program for teaching English to those who wwant to learn a second language.

Kamila Komarnicka is an amazing busy young woman. She is working for the Speak-Up program and going to College. She is our translator whenever one is needed. That is not an easy task as she has to listen to the Polish speaker and at the same time translate what is being said and keep up with the speaker. It requires skill and fluency. She is kept busy as there are several American families in the Branch.

Dorota Musial is a beautiful and talented young woman. She has a gift for photography and writing. Her writing is beautiful and she expresses herself so well. Her roots are in Hungary and she cooks hungarian. One time for a YSA activity she made Hungarian Goulash and it was awesome, so she was kind enough to bring me some of the Hungarian seasoning she uses. I love it.

Nasa Nergui is from Mongolia and came here several years ago with her family. She now speaks Mongolian, polish, and English. When her mom teaches in Relief Society, she speaks Mongolian and Nasa translates for her into Polish then Kamila translates for Nasa into english for us who can't quite get it. Nasa is also fluent in English. She went back to Mongolia for part of the summer and is now back and attending college. She takes her education very seriously and her marks show it. She also is a beautiful talented young woman.

Solongo Unursaihan is from Mongolia as well. She learned polish by watching TV here and now you would never know she lived anywhere else. She has the most beautiful smile. It takes her over an hour to get to Church for YSA activities and Church on Sunday. True dedication. She has a sweet testimony of the Gospel.

Marta Wisniewska is an amazing young woman. You should see her on the volley-ball court. the guys are actually afraid to play against her. Her serve is something to be seen as are her spikes. Marta is planning on majoring in Phys Ed in college and she should as she has great talent. She is our YSA representative and does a great job. This her first time in leadership in the Church and she is up to the task. Her family has a cabin in the Masurian Lake area which we as the YSAs went to at the beginning of last summer.

I had to put this picture in as it was so good of Kasia and her mom. Who can seee the resemblance between her mom and Glenn Close? Kasia Gorniak and her mom, Klaudia Gorniak.

Kasia is quite an amazing young woman. She has her law degree and is studying so she can take the English profiency test. She is hopeful that after that she can go to either George Washington, William and Mary or Harvard for her masters. I'm confident she will pull it off as she has the desire, drive and smarts. She literally pulled the YSAs together from no group to a solid, close group this last year when she was called as the YSA rep. she is so fluent in English that if she is translating from Polish to English, She can do it right along side of the polish being spoken.

These YSAs are a wonderful group of Young people. I love them dearly. It is a blessing in my ife to be able to associate with them and know them.
