Linger- Longer and a few views of Fall

This second sunday we had a linger-Longer meal after our block of meetings. Of course, everything starts in the kitchen and here we are with Elder Buckner, Sister Sheahan, next to him, Natalie and her mother and Alicja in the background who is an investigator. we are beginning to get food ready to carry out to the tables.
Elder Rogers, Marzena Kryszofiak, Tatiana Bannatyne, Elder Buckner, Marta Antkowiak, Grzegorz Owsianowski, and Jolanta Zmudzinska are in the library next to the kitchen waiting patiently for food to come out and make it's way to the tables set up in the Chapel.

Sister Leppanen is visiting with Marian Kaminski and Natalie's father. Natalie is a member, 11 years old and her parents are not. They come to all the meetings and support her 100%.

Brother Jarosz with Elder Rogers and Kirill Bannatyne is playing the keyboard.

The tables are almost ready. sitting at the table is Mark Bannatyne talking with his daughter Anna and his mother who is living with them. Mark and his family are from the states and only here until the last of December when they will return home to Indianapolis. They will be missed. The Branch here in Poznan is very small, 21 members and they are part of that 21.

This is our very small kitchen. Malgorzata Pietrzykowska is the Relief Society President and did a great job of getting potatoes mashed and food ready to go out. (terrible picture of her, I hope she will forgive me!!) Behind her is Grazyna Konatowska. Both she and Malgorzata have been members for several years.

The food is an interesting mix of cabbage dishes, potatoes, saurkraut, and some kind of meat. I brought just an ordinary fruit salad. Oh, and pickles are a part of every meal.

This is the Healy family, Sean Healy, his sons, Max and richard, next to Richard is Kate. Sister Leppanen, Grazyna and her daughter Izabella and her friend and an investigator who comes every week. ( I don't know his name.) The Healy family is from the states and will be here for a year.

Elder Rogers, from St. George Utah, Elder Buckner from Mountain Home, Idaho, and Marta Antkowiak who is our Gospel doctrine teacher and one of our 2 YSAs. by the way, she's great.

Krzystof Jarosz, his daughter, Sarah and Iwona his wife are one of my favorite families in all of Poland. they are from Warsaw and have been members of the Church for 20 years. they joined the Church when there were about 8 members in all of Poland. they are an amazing family and we love them. Krzystof works as an independent contractor for the Church and is responsible for all the Missionary apartments, vehicles, maintenance of both and even bringing us supplies and putting up art work on our Chapel walls.

I'm on my way in to "Trendy" to get my hair cut and colored. Fryzur means Beauty Salon.

Our Institute class and YSA activity. From left to right...Alicja, me, Jola, (our instructor), Marta, S. Leppanen, S. Sheahan, E. Buckner, Kirill Bannatyne who is goofing off, E. Rogers, Maciej, and Grzegorz.

A beautiful Fall day in one of the many parks in Poznan.

This little guy was having a great time playing in the leaves while his Grand Dad watched.

Sister McAdams and Sister Leppanen. Sister McAdams was being transferred to Gdansk the next day. We will miss her.
