Outside our building the roof is being repaired and it cracks us up to see how tile is transported up to the roof which is the same way the tile was taken off the roof. It is taken up bucket by bucket. One man stands on the ground, fills the bucket with a few tile and hoists them up to a man on the roof who fills the bucket or as in this case a rope with old tile and lowers it down. I figure by Spring the roof will be done.
We are beginning to get things ready for our Thanksgiving and Max, the Healey's youngest son, wondered into the kitchen to see when the Thanksgiving feast will start. What a cutie!!

We have three turkeys ready to go, along with sweet potatoes, stuffing, gravy and a few desserts in the background. The Polish people don't have stuffing and they don't use gravy so it will be interesting to see if we can persuade them to try these dishes. We have a pumpkin pie and the Polish people don't make pies aand they use pumpkin like a squash so that will be interesting....
Kate Healey, in the front is responsible for getting this dinner organized and put together. Then we have Sister Leppanen, Margorzata and Marzena. Everyone seems to find their way into our very small kitchen.
We've turned our Chapel into a dining room ready to seat 48 prople. Ross bets there will be more, we'll see.
Marzena brought her daughter, Agnieszka and her granddaughter, Anid. Agnieszka and her husband are talented musicians. Her husband was performing that day and she has a beautiful alto voice. They also write their own music.
Our two sweet sister Missionaries, sister Sheahan on the left and Sister Leppenan. sister Sheahan spent a year in Nashville Tenn. working for a Music company, she did some composing and she has a great voice. We love having her in the Branch.
One last time to sit down in the YSA room before the crowd, food and making sure everything runs smoothly.

Our thanksgiving table is laden with food. We have fresh rolls on the tables, thanks to Kate Healey and the sister missionaries, then on this table all the food that you could want for a Thanksgiving dinner, thanks to all the members bringing something.
Ross was right, we had 54 people and ended up putting a few more places at the tables. Members brought family and friends. We even had a few from our English classes.

President Nielson and Judi came for the dinner and the dedication that wwe held on Sunday. We were so glad they were there.
Grzegorz and Natalie's father are making sure that they get what they need.
Jola (Yola) is one of my favorite people. She doesn't sspeak a word of English and I speak almost no Polish and yet we seem to understand each other and always find lots of reasons to laugh. By the way, she would kill me if she read this blog as this is a terrible picture and she is prettier than this.

Our Branch after the dedication of the Chapel. President Nielson offered the Dedicatory Prayer which is a prayer asking our Heavenly Father to bless this Chapel for the Lord's work.

Elder Rogers is a gifted musician and plays the keyboard so well!!!
He and Sister Sheahan performed a special misical number for Sacrament meeting and when they finished all the Polish members and guests clapped loudly showing their appreciation. They haven't yet realized that we don't clap in a spiritual meeting, no matter how well they liked it. The music is just there to add to the spirit. This picture was taken after the Sacrament meeting.
