Jean and I received our mission call on May 18, 2010 to the Poland Warsaw Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We ARE excited. We are LESS excited about our ability to learn the Polish language, but we do believe in the blessing of good tutors ... coupled with an anticipated gift of tongues.
Wealso are excited about serving and working with President and Sister Nielson, who arrived in Poland on June 30 to begin their three-year service as mission president. We report Oct. 4.
For the next three months, we'll be wrapping things up here in Vegas and learning as much as we can about Poland, the people, and the language.
Milego dnia! ... or Have a Nice Day!
we just finished our 2nd day in poland! this place is amazing...and so are the elders. they are hard workers and very positive. last night we went to our first teaching appointment with the assistants. they were great and could have been on the preach my gospel dvd. can't wait until you are here!
ReplyDeleteBrat & Siostra Richards:
ReplyDeleteNice simple blog. I'm honored to be the 2nd in a cast of thousands who will be "following you" in the days/weeks ahead.
Na później, Brat Severts
Will pass this news along. You may not remember, John Phillips, from the Wheeling/McMechen Branch. He did all the woodworking. So excited to hear about your mission. Best of luck learning the language.
ReplyDeleteLove you. Proud of you.
